Different between WOWSlider and jquery flash lightbox

What different between WOWSlider and jquery flash lightbox?

Q: Is Visual Light Box an addition for WOW or just a seperate program. I own the license version of WOW and like the Light Box but I am trying to understand they are different in a basic way.

A: VisualLightBox and WOWSlider work indifferent ways.

WOWSlider app. generates slideshows, that are displayed on the page permanently.
Slideshows have transition effect between slides.

VisualLightBox app. generates image galleries. Images appear in pop up window after
clicking on thumbnail. When you close pop up windows, you'll see static thumbnails only.
